Deante Purvis. Even though his team was well on their way to being routed by the no. 18 BYU Cougars, Purvis left it all out on the field and ran a kickoff back for a touchdown in the second quarter, guaranteeing free chicken fingers for all in attendance at Raising Cane's.
At least half the fans present were there for BYU, but everyone loves free food so as soon as Purvis reached the endzone there was a universal cheer of "chicken wings!" heard from all corners of the stadium.The chicken fingers themselves were nothing to write home about, but the dipping sauce was exceptional. If you live anywhere near a Raising Cane's you owe it to yourself to go try it. The franchise I went to were great sports about it as well, giving free chicken to fan after fan, despite the fact that most were decked out in BYU apparel and the promotion was for UNLV football.
